You are right about those ebayers. I had a woman in front of me one day in the book section and I couldn't even look at books cuz of her snatching up books right in front of me. You could tell she was buying to resell because she would snatch the book, look in the cover and run a scanner over the little tab and then reject it or throw it her ever growing pile.

Went to Hurrican Grill & Wings for a bite to eat. The bartender was our waiter... Food is awful.. Had hot wings and potato skins... The bar is nicely decorated but food and service is a "NO NO". I give it "thumbs down"

Wow, glad to know I'm not the only 1. We had a horrible experiance there as well, and will not be returning. It sounded great, and a freebie coupon made the deal. Only, it wasn't free. We were charged for it regardless, and the waitress made such a stink about removing it from the ticket that I just paid her and left.

Imagine my surprise at pulling the weekly Money Pages out of the mailbox a week or so ago and seeing my waitress on the cover. If that is putting your best face forward, there is no hope for this place.

Avoid like the plague.

Tho just a couple miles from where I live...Fort Matanzas was something I wanted to visit when my family came down from the North. Loaded down with all the tourist 'trappings'...I and my Yankee family members took the short drive to the Fort Matanzas area. While waiting for the shuttle boat to take us to the fort itself, we enjoyed the 'nature walk' (A boardwalk that meanders through the surrounding wooded area). It was quite pleasant and a wonderful way to 'kill time'. Eventually, it was our turn to board the shuttle boat. As it turned out, the park rangers were training new personnel, so the 'trip' took on an extra special feel.
Though a FREE tour (using guides in period costumes), they DO accept donations. Be generous...this 'attraction' is worth the time and effort to visit....Enjoy !!

I live on the 'Island'. To say we have our fair share of Restaurants is an understatement.
Before I read this blog, I had already heard unfavorable comments about the above mentioned HURRICANE GRILL & WINGS. Poor service trumps good food....EVERY TIME. Not one accounting, of their visit to HURRICANE GRILL & WINGS, recalled a 'worth the wait' dining experience. Think I'll save my money and, obviously, my time.

A worthwhile enterprise...with reasonable prices for those with a budget that a GNAT couldn't survive on. Of course, a lot of Betty Griffith's customers are Flea Market or EBAY members and don't need the things they buy except to turn a profit....This is the only time I'm enjoying the gas hike..those who drive around all day looking for 'merchandise to flip' aren't making quite the killing, anymore. Tickles the CRAP outta me..

My house is a mish mash (eclectic) of useful things purchased at Betty Griffin House.. I NEED AND USE EVERYTHING I BUY THERE. It is a wonderful place and their cause is noteworthy.
